The BlueZoo Foot Traffic Analytics (FTA) mobile application serves as a component of the BlueZoo ecosystem, comprising both hardware and software solutions aimed at quantifying and analyzing foot traffic dynamics. These solutions provide insights into visitor counts, visit patterns, dwell times, unique visitor identification, directional movement among sensors, and other sophisticated metrics relevant to pedestrian flow analysis. The BlueZoo FTA application is primarily employed for onboarding new Wi-Fi sensors and reconfiguring existing deployments. Additionally, it facilitates the collection of “ground truth” data essential for the precise calibration of sensors within specific environments.

Sensor configuration encompasses several key steps:

<li>Naming and geographically referencing the sensor location</li>
<li>Assigning the sensor to a designated spatial zone</li>
<li>Setting up Wi-Fi backhaul to enable cloud communication</li>
<li>Calibrating sensor detection zones to focus on human presence only within the designated area</li>

Accurate calibration relies on collecting “ground truth” data during setup. This involves recording headcount snapshots—instances where personnel manually count individuals within the detection zone at specific moments—or threshold counts, which document the number of people moving through zone boundaries over a period.

Usage of the mobile application necessitates appropriate credentials—specifically a username and password—and roles such as installer or ground truth collector.
